During these months, the snow has melted, and the trails are relatively easier to navigate. The temperature during the day ranges from 15°C to 25°C, and at night, it drops down to around 5°C to 10°C. Avoid trekking during the monsoon season (July to August) as the trails can be slippery and prone to landslides. Winter months (December to February) are also not ideal for trekking in Kasol as the region experiences heavy snowfall, making the trails inaccessible and dangerous.

     Kasol offers a plethora of trekking options that cater to both beginners and experienced trekkers. Here are some of the popular trekking trails in Kasol:

  1. Kheerganga Trek:-

  •         Kheerganga is a popular trek from Kasol. The trek starts from Barshaini and takes you through dense forests, picturesque villages, beautiful meadows and scenic waterfalls to reach Kheerganga. The highlight of the trek is the natural hot water springs at Kheerganga, where you can take a refreshing dip and unwind amidst the stunning mountain landscapes.

  •         The Sar Pass Trek is a bit more challenging, and it takes about 6-7 days to complete, but the views are worth it. The trek starts from Kasol that takes you through dense forests, snow-capped mountains, and beautiful meadows and goes through Grahan, Min Thach, and Nagaru before reaching the Sar Pass. The trek takes you through beautiful landscapes and goes up to an altitude of 5,319 meters.
