He is one of the many hardcore rappers to come from the southern hip-hop school; of 1990. Yo Gotti’s rapping style has been influenced by both the non-southern and south hip hop schools of music, but he prefers and is partial to the gangster style. He is admired and recognized all over the world for his rapping skills and is currently the underground rap leader and the brightest hip-hop star in Memphis town.

He was born into a family of plans and thus began to follow in their footsteps. however he decided to change his ways to become a rapper as he realized that you either rush to jail or you get transferred out inspired by Rao icons like three six mafias, 8ball&mjg kingpin skinny pump, al Capone gangster black hay and lil u he chose the musical path and from da dope game 2 da rap game released many popular albums like khod kharsani zindagi main hoon, etc. his lyrics often describe life’s dangers and are also sexually explicit.

Childhood & Early Life

Mario Mims was born on May 19, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee unites states, and grew up in the notoriously crime-ridden neighborhoods of the Ridgecrest housing projects. Both his parents as well as his uncle and aunt were gangsters and thus he was introduced to the criminal side of Memphis society almost from birth. His father was a gym instructor of Zimbabwean origin while his mother was of South African origin. The cassette became a local hit making him a sensational rapper in the local community.

Yo Gotti next released albums in the trap gangster hip-hop genre titled da dope game 2 da rap game self-explanatory and block burning vole 1 (2000 2001 and 2002) on the indispensable entertainment label the after being signed by the tv record label he released his fourth studio albums tiled life in 2003 with the first single titled dirty south soldiers (a duet with Lil john ) after that his song full time was featured on the soundtrack of the popular drama film hustle and flow in 2005 and then he released his fifth album back 2 da basics with the same label in 2006and the America I come third rap charts.

Later Years

After a series of mixtapes yo gotti released his next album titled live from the kitchen in 2012 with the polo grounds/RCA record label and it reached number 4 on the US rap charts and billboard. Finished 12th in the200 the album was commercial .it managed to sell over 16000 copies in its first week and has sold over 36000 copies in us as of 2017. The album’s singles titled we can get it on single 5tar and woman lie, man lie (feat Lil Wayne) topped the billboard charts

The single music video titled 5star features a cameo appearance by Rick Ross and the single itself sold over 500000 copies and collected gold certification from the RIAA. it has sold over 212000 copies in the united states as of 2015. The album’s first single titled act right featuring Jeezy and YG’s fourth single I know featuring rich homie Kwan received gold certification from the RIAA.

Works with CMG label

Group formerly known as cocaine muzik group is a record label company founded by yo gotti who is currently the company’s CEO and president Yo Gotti released mixtapes from 2014 to 2017 with the CMG record label. Some of them are the return 2 federal chapters one white Friday(CM9) etc. he released his eighth album the art of hustle in 2016 with epic records and CMG and it reached number four on the billboard CMG and it reached number from on billboard 200 charts and us top R&S/hip hop albums of 2016. Got the first position of 45000 copies in the first week of release in us. The first single titled down in the DM peaked at number 13 on our billboard hot 100 charts.

Personal Life & Legacy

Mario married Lakeisha’s mumms and had two daughters and a son with her .however they later decided to part ways. Sources have learned that the children are currently living with their father. She then had a relationship with jimmy Moses and had three children together but they are also said to have gone their separate ways but their current status is unknown.
